Oluwatosin is the latest album from Nigerian-born, UK-based artist and producer 705. Named after his real name, the project is a personal introduction to the man behind the artist.
Created over more than two years, the album reflects a period of loss, growth, creative rediscovery and renewed purpose. Following the passing of his mother in November 2024, 705 returned to himself both personally and musically, revisiting old ideas, creating new records and reconnecting with his roots as a producer.
Across Oluwatosin, 705 blends Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, rap and melody, delivering music in English, Yoruba and Nigerian Pidgin. The album explores perseverance, faith, ambition, relationships, gratitude and the determination to stay true to one’s path.
As both artist and producer, 705 plays a central role in shaping the sound of the project. His distinctive vocal tone, confident rap delivery and ability to move between reflective storytelling and uplifting records give the album its identity.
Key tracks include “Surely” featuring Eazikial, a motivational record about focus, self-belief and refusing to conform, and “Five Alive,” a celebration of life, gratitude and the joy of continuing to pursue the dream.
More than a collection of songs, Oluwatosin is a statement of identity:
This is me. This is Oluwatosin. This is 705.
The album marks a new chapter in 705’s journey—one built on authenticity, resilience and the belief that the only direction from here is up.
